Shanghai Lingyun&Yongran Law Firm Donates 1 Million Yuan to East China University of Political Science and Law to Establish Lingyun&Yongran Intellectual Property Research Fund

　　On June 7, 2023, Shanghai Lingyun&Yongran Law Firm and East China University of Political Science and Law held a signing ceremony for a school-firm cooperation and donation agreement. Attendees included Yuan Xinzhong, Director of the Law Firm; Ying Peili, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University; Chen Shaoling, Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office (Comprehensive Experimental Center) and Head of the Intellectual Property Law and Policy Research Institute. The ceremony was hosted by Yu Xun, Director of the University's Social Coordination and Cooperation Office and Chairman of the Foundation.

　　After touring the law firm, Ying Peili and his delegation held discussions with Yuan Xinzhong about deepening school-firm cooperation and jointly organizing academic seminars. Ying Peili highly praised Yuan Xinzhong for his selfless assistance and support to the university during the pandemic in 2022. He emphasized that the strong connection of many alumni from Lingyun&Yongran Law Firm with their alma mater played a crucial role in this collaboration. Ying pointed out that after nearly 30 years of development, Lingyun Yongran Law Firm has achieved significant success and established a strong brand in the field of intellectual property protection. Meanwhile, the university's related disciplines have also been at the forefront nationwide, gaining widespread recognition. He suggested that both parties could leverage their strengths to build a higher platform for cooperation, aiming for mutual benefit and shared expertise. He urged both sides to continue expanding and sharing ideas, efficiently advancing cooperative projects to yield fruitful outcomes, and supporting the rapid development of the law firm while fostering a collaborative spirit.

　　At the ceremony, Ying Peili and Yuan Xinzhong signed the cooperation and donation agreements on behalf of both parties and unveiled the East China University of Political Science and Law Student Internship and Practice Base at Lingyun&Yongran Law Firm. Ying accepted the 1 million yuan donation check for the Lingyun&Yongran Intellectual Property Research Fund on behalf of the university and presented Yuan with a donation certificate and a commemorative gift. Vice Director and Senior Partner Zhang Xiuhua, Partner Gao Yonghong, along with Huang Tian, Dai Qimin, Zhu Hui, Sha Di, and Zhang Peiyao from the firm, also spoke at the event. As alumni, they shared their feelings towards the university and engaged in heated discussions on cooperation, professional alignment, and talent development, reaching a series of consensuses.
